If you are a promising batsman in India and are planning to debut, these are some stats that one should keep in mind. The bar graphs in Figure 1 represents total runs scored by batters debut per month. In the parenthesis the number of debuts are presented.

Figure 2 presents the average runs per debut per month, with a qualification of at-least 2000 runs. Again the number in the parenthesis is the number of debuts. Another way to say this (very loosely) is that if I debut in January and I score at-least 2000 runs, I will end up scoring close to 5000 runs.

Considering this, I would plan to debut in Nov. Not only SRT debuted in Nov. but also the average is high with high N values.
